The Black River District Camporee is a campout where troops from all over Black River District come together and enjoy a weekend in the woods (in the past, it’s been held at Camp Wheeler) and partake in some sort of activity, such as a treasure hunt of sorts using GPS and orienteering skills. At the end of the night on Saturday, there’s usually a gathering with scouts and leaders performing skits and songs.
Similarly, the Multi-District Camporee features troops from local districts who enjoy a weekend camping together and demonstrating scout skills through various activities. In 2017, this camporee was held at Round Valley Reservoir.
