Troop 236 has only been to New River twice, but both times it was a great trip. New River Adventure is based out of Camp Powhatan in the Blue Ridge Mountains in southern Virginia. It is a week of adventure that allows the crew to participate in a different activity each day. Activities include white water rafting class 4 and 5 rapids and white water canoeing on the New River, as well as caving, natural rock climbing and rappelling, high and low COPE courses, and ATV riding.
