This campout existed for some time until around 2006 when the event ceased operation. In 2016, in an effort to spur more recruitment of Cub Scouts into Boy Scouts, the event was reorganized and rerun by Black River District. At this campout, Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts (formerly Webelos IIs) camp for a weekend at Camp Wheeler at Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation to get a sense of what Boy Scouting is like.

Troops in the district send Boy Scouts to act as Troop Guides for the patrols that the Cub Scouts form. The weekend is filled with activities, including: wood tool instruction, campsite setup, skits and songs and more. Working one-on-one with Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts get a glimpse at the Boy Scout program while the Boy Scouts practice their teaching and leadership skills.
